ANZ developed an innovative customer referral pathway for scam victims, partnering with Brotherhoodof St Laurence to deliver MoneyMinded scam education workshops. This improves traditional bank responses by providing facilitated referrals to trusted community partners rather than relying on customer self-referral. With ~50% of customers accepting referrals when offered and 1000+ MoneyMinded coaches trained, the program addresses genuine need in scam education access, removes barriers through facilitated referrals and has scalable infrastructure.
