Co-convened by Social Ventures Hong Kong and Standard Chartered with patronage from six of its corporate banking clients, EmpowHER2B is a collective platform aspiring to uplift 600,000 Hong Kong women currently out of work due to domestic responsibilities by leveraging Standard Chartered and SVhk’s cross-sector networks. We create sustainable socioeconomic participation opportunities through return-to-work facilitation that accelerates career re-entry and incubates microentrepreneurs and micro-cooperatives. To date, the platform has engaged 450+ female carers, super-connected them to 40+ organizations (including 10+ women-led ventures), curated impact marketplaces through 30+ happenings, and facilitated 130+ flexible, diverse opportunities for those seeking to return to work.
