The Shared Value Project is the peak practice body for shared value in Australasia, and the exclusive regional partner of the Shared Value Initiative. We drive adoption and implementation of shared value strategies among leading companies, civil society and government organisations by providing thought leadership, knowledge and networks.
Through our program of workshops, training and events we encourage individuals, organisations and change agents to view the creation of social value as a major competitive advantage, a driver of innovation, and foundation for long-term economic prosperity.
Key Focus Areas
Our membership program is tailored for each organisation to deliver the knowledge and tools they need to upskill internally and leverage their shared value potential. Members also contribute to the development of shared value as a global business practice, access latest thinking and practice models, and connect with peers.
We disseminate news, reports, and case studies about shared value in practice. We also facilitate peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, and provide opportunities for members and practitioners to contribute their content.
Events & Networking
We facilitate regular events and activities that bring together, and connect, like-minded professionals with a common interest and experience in striving for business at its best through creating shared value. Supporting the development of personal connections and providing opportunities to share experiences lets members and practitioners know they are not alone on their shared value journey. Events include our annual Shared Value Forum, ‘Insight’ networking events in collaboration with our members, workshops, seminars, and leadership roundtables.
Education & Training
We coordinate education and training sessions that guide participants on how to evolve innovation and corporate social responsibility practices to create social and business value. Our expert facilitators share tools, knowledge, case studies, and up-to-the-minute briefings on the status of shared value developments worldwide. We also provide executive briefings and masterclasses with the opportunity to tailor content to suit individual and company needs. Sessions range from public master classes for practitioners such as our Shared Value 101 workshops, internal organisation workshops for teams and departments, and executive education courses for experienced practitioners and senior business leaders.
Projects & Collaboration
Australia and the Asia Pacific region face its own unique set of challenges. Shared value provides an approach for businesses to address challenges facing society, and play an active role in society through innovation and cross-sector collaborations. We assemble effective projects, teams, speaking panels, and cross-sector partnerships in order to develop shared value initiatives that advance research, knowledge, and the potential for shared value in the region. Projects include the annual ‘State of Shared Value in Australia’ survey, investigating shared value activity and societal engagement across ASX 100 companies.
If you have a commitment to developing shared value as a practice, become a member of the Shared Value Project for a unique opportunity to shape the future of shared value in the region and establish a major competitive advantage.
