Shared Value Philanthropy Award

Shines a spotlight on philanthropic initiatives that transcend traditional charity, embodying shared value principles at their core. This prestigious category acknowledges organisations and individuals whose philanthropy not only addresses a social need but critically has the intention at is core of generating over time sustainable, long-term impact by understanding and leveraging the economic opportunity of the social change they seek.

How to apply

You will need to complete the following questions as part of your submission. Please ensure you have all the information required to complete your entry before commencing, as you cannot save your progress. You will also have the option to upload any relevant associated documents.

1. Describe your shared value philanthropic initiative?
   Max 1000 characters
   (Hint: Tell us what we are judging, an investment strategy, new radical funding approach to impact, seed investment for a shared value idea etc)
2. Tell us about the process you undertook to identify and design your philanthropic solution.
   Max 1000 characters
   (Hint: who did you engage with to develop your solution? Nonprofit partners, government, corporate partners, researchers etc)
3. How did your initiative transcend traditional charity to embody shared value principles at their core?  
   Max 1000 characters
   (Hint: Shared value creates positive societal value by leveraging market forces or creating a sustainable economic vehicle.)
4. What environmental and/or social impact has been created as a result of your philanthropic initiative?
   Max 1000 characters
   (Hint: If you don’t have data or an existing measurement framework for impact – how are you evaluating your progress?)
5. Is your innovation/initiative scalable? If not yet, then what more is needed in order to assess its viability to scale?
   Max 1000 characters
   (Hint: If you have successfully identified an economic vehicle to generate societal value then we would expect it to be scalable, so if not please explain why)
