Partnerships for Purpose Award

Partnerships for Purpose

Highlighting strategic collaborations between businesses, NGOs, and/or governments that drive positive impact on a key societal challenge in ways that leverage each other’s unique strengths. You must be able to identify the economic and societal value created through the partnership approach.

This category is open to companies, businesses, social enterprises and non profit organisations to enter. Please acknowledge all partners (government, corporates, NFP, academic, other).  Joint entry for this category is possible (i.e. more than one organisation).

How to apply

You will need to complete the following questions as part of your submission. Please ensure you have all the information required to complete your entry before commencing, as you cannot save your progress. You will also have the option to upload any relevant associated documents.

  1. What environmental or social issue did you address, and why?
    Max 1000 characters
    (Hint: How does this environmental /social issue intersect with your business? Tell us why this problem was important for you to tackle)
  2. Tell us about the process you undertook to identify and design your solution, including who you partnered and why.
    Max 1500 characters
    (Hint: what did you do to understand the issue deeply?  Did you engage those with lived expertise? Who did you partner and what role did they have?)
  3. Describe how you have or are partnering to achieve greater societal impact (environmental or social)
    Max 2000 characters
    (Hint: What is the project or initiative, program? How do the partners work together, what are the strengths of each partner?)
  4. What business value is your initiative creating or do you expect it to create (if it’s still in progress)?
    Max 1000 characters
    (Hint: We are looking for tangible business value, profit, new or retained customers, new/expanded market opportunities, cost reduction, resilient supply chains, productivity improvement/efficiencies, skills uplift for employees, employee retention, talent attraction etc).
  5. What societal value is your initiative creating or do you expect it to create (if it’s still progress)?
    Max 1000 characters
    (Hint: What impact is/was created? If you don’t have data or an existing measurement framework for impact – how are you evaluating your progress?)
  6. How does this partnership play to each other’s unique strengths?
    Max 1000 characters
    (Hint: How are you achieving  more together than you can on your own?)
  7. Is your initiative scalable? If not yet, then what more is needed in order to assess its viability to scale?
    Max 1000 characters
    (Hint: If you have successfully created both societal value and business value from your initiative then we would expect it to be scalable, so if not please explain why not)
