Shared Value practitioners meet at Hub Melbourne

May 7, 2012

When like-minded business and community practitioners collaborate, the potential to solve common problems is always great.

This was certainly the case as The Shared Value Project led ‘a practitioners forum‘ at Hub Melbourne’s impressive Bourke Street location.

We were hoping for lively debate, and it came in spades.  Shared value as both a concept and practice were robustly debated by practitioners from all across Victoria.

There was a strong sense of energy to create a broader public debate – to convey the merits of shared value through not only our words but most importantly our actions.  As a group, we identified the importance of a developing a common language.

The night concluded with a commitment from all to identify common socioeconomic or environmental problems to solve through collaboration.  We can’t help but be excited by all we can do by working together.

Thanks to all who made it to the Hub, especially those who traveled considerable distances to attend. These events will become more and more regular as we continue create shared value and solve common problems.

Stay tuned for the next installment and as always, let us know your thoughts and feedback!
