The Kwale Cotton Project is a smallholder farmer livelihood program based in Kenya developed in partnership by Business for Development, Base Titanium Limited, and Cotton On Group to ensure community stability and the emergence of non-mine dependent economic opportunities.

The Project is working to enable cluster development, and create a productive value chain to help meet the growing global demand for ethical cotton from organisations such as Cotton On. Sustainable income earning opportunities through market access is a challenge for smallholder farmers worldwide. This project links small yield farmers to global end markets and has the potential to significantly impact their productivity and deliver long term social and economic gain.
