Merging the love for travel with doing good for local communities and the environment is the core of The Intrepid Foundation’s operations since it was established in 2002. SVP’s newest member, The Intrepid Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that allows travellers to give back to the communities they visit. Since its inception, the foundation has worked closely with more than 100 NGOs around the world to support initiatives in healthcare, education, gender equality, human rights, child welfare, sustainable development, environmental conservation and wildlife protection.

The Intrepid Group made up of Geckos Adventures, Peregrine Adventures, Urban Adventures, Adventure Tours Australia and The Family Adventure Company, has lent its support to the Intrepid Foundation since 2013. This has expanded the reach of their work, and given more travellers the opportunity to donate to projects that they visit. Each of these travel companies share the same responsible travel practices and philosophies, and are dedicated to promoting positive and sustainable development in the communities they travel to.
