Michael Porter and Mark Kramer commend Australasian businesses for being part of the solution

November 8, 2018

Co-authors of the ‘Creating Shared Value’ article published in 2011 that struck a chord with business leaders around the world (and also led to the establishment of SVP) – Michael E. Porter and Mark R. Kramer – have extended their congratulations to winners of the 2018 Australasian Shared Value Awards.

“We commend Australasian businesses for their willingness to be part of the solution to the complex issues of today, by using shared value”, Kramer and Porter said.

“It is wonderful to see growth in the shared value community in the region.

“It takes vision, courage, commitment, and ongoing dialogue at all levels of a business to develop and apply shared value effectively – it is not easy but as the awards highlight, it is possible, and with persistence, the business and social outcomes will speak for themselves.

“We are delighted that award submissions were received from organisations across a variety of industries including businesses new to the shared value movement”, they said.

Now in its third year, the annual Australasian Shared Value Awards program, produced by Shared Value Project, is a firm fixture on the regional business calendar and provides a platform to promote and celebrate shared value in action.
