2018 Shared Value Awards celebrate shared value in action

September 18, 2018

Now in its third year, the annual Shared Value Awards – to be held in Melbourne, 6.00-8.00pm Thursday 18 October – is a firm fixture on the regional business calendar. The Awards attract submissions from organisations from a variety of sectors including tourism, health, consumer goods, construction, insurance, financial, social enterprise, and not-for-profit.  In common is the commitment to achieving economic benefit by identifying and addressing social problems that intersect with their business to create scalable, profitable solutions.

According to Shared Value Project CEO, Helen Steel, business leaders are recognising that success is inherently linked to the long-term prosperity of the clients and communities with whom they work. At the same time, consumers are looking for business leaders to provide leadership and advocacy on broader societal issues.

“Business leaders are embracing shared value as a strategic tool to create scalable, profitable solutions and social value, and this is evident in the growth of the ‘shared value community’”, Steel said.

“The submissions for this year’s Shared Value Awards give insight to a variety of businesses at different points in their shared value journey, and as shared value becomes more embedded within a business it is rewarding to see the measurable social impact that comes with it”, she said.

“We are excited to announce organisations shortlisted for the 2018 Shared Value organisational and project awards are:
