Simonie Fox, the head of Shared Value at AIA Australia, is nominated for her strategic leadership and innovative solutions in driving health equity and societal wellbeing. With over two decades of experience in the insurance industry and a background in oncology nursing and occupational rehabilitation, Simonie has made significant contributions to addressing key health concerns.

One of her notable achievements was identifying the unmet health needs of women experiencing perimenopause and menopause through analyzing AIA’s claims data. Simonie championed initiatives to support females during this critical life phase, including partnering with the Australasian Menopause Society (AMS) and coordinated a roundtable event on World Menopause Day in 2023, bringing together experts and stakeholders to discuss health equity. She guided AIA’s Senate inquiry into menopause and perimenopause issues, challenging existing approaches and providing recommendations to the government.

In addition, Simonie has made significant contributions in supporting customers with cancer diagnoses, mental health challenges, and chronic pain. Her collaborations with leading health providers have resulted in coaching services, support programs, and pain education initiatives that have improved return-to-work rates, symptom management, and overall wellbeing for thousands of individuals.
