New member: Australian Red Cross

October 2, 2017

We are pleased to announce the Australian Red Cross as the newest member of the Shared Value Project. The Australian Red Cross is a leading humanitarian aid and community services in Australia.

Red Cross provides a range of services and programs including international aid across the Asia-Pacific region, international humanitarian law advocacy, migration support, emergency management, blood donation via the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, and community services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, youth, families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.

Red Cross is building a more humanitarian society based on voluntary service. Working to alleviate suffering during wars and conflicts, the Red Cross also assists the most vulnerable community members – no matter their circumstances.

As Australia’s leading voice on humanitarian values, Red Cross provides talks and articles to give guidance on how we can create a better society and help those in need. This includes providing updates during emergencies and advice on disaster preparedness and recovery here in Australia and across the region.

We look forward to greater engagement in progressing the development of shared value in Australasia.
