The Shared Value Project’s Chair Peter Yates AM and Chief Executive Officer Helen Steel will lead a delegation of CEOs and senior executives from the Asia Pacific region’s leading companies to New York for the Shared Value Leadership Summit (30 April to 2 May) and Learning Tour (3-4 May).
As a regional partner of the Shared Value Initiative, the Shared Value Project offers a unique opportunity for Australian companies to connect with shared value leaders from around the world.
Key activities
1. Invitation only SVI Partner Knowledge Exchange event & partner reception – 30 April
Private shared value knowledge exchange session and reception on the day before the summit for international partners of the Shared Value Initiative.
2. Shared Value Leadership Summit – 1-2 May
Around the world we’re seeing unprecedented calls for business to provide scalable solutions to society’s greatest challenges. Global thought leaders including Hillary Rodham Clinton will gather at the 2018 Shared Value Leadership Summit to discuss today’s socio-political environment and why this is the moment for companies to act and innovate for shared value.
3. Shared Value Project Leadership Dinner – 2 May
As part of the delegation to New York, the Shared Value Project hosts a leadership dinner which provides an opportunity for members of the delegation to meet shared value leaders from around the world. Peter Yates AM and Helen Steel will lead a conversation with senior business leaders, and stakeholders of SVP drawing on highlights from the Summit, and the development of shared value as a global movement. Attendees will include the SVP Directors and staff, SVP members attending the 2018 Shared Value Leadership Summit, other Asia Pacific presenters and stakeholders, the Shared Value Initiative, and local individuals involved in the Summit or business related to SVP.
4. Shared Value Project Learning Tour – 3-4 May
The SVP Learning Tour will facilitate a knowledge exchange and opportunity to build international networks and gain insights and lessons to inform business activity in the Asia Pacific region. Over two days, the delegation will meet with senior leaders from a range of global organisations and discover how they are using shared value to drive positive business impacts and solve major social issues.
In the past we have met companies including GE, IBM, Vitality Group, Novo Nordisk, Barclays, Pearson, UN Global Compact and the Closed Loop Fund.
Costs
Please note, the SVI Partners Knowledge Exchange, Learning Tour and Leadership Dinner are only open to members of the Shared Value Project.
The cost for the SVP Leadership Dinner and Learning Tour is AU$1950 + GST, which covers transportation on the day of the learning tour plus lunch on 3 & 4 May and networking drinks on 3 May. Participants will also need to register for the SV Leadership Summit (30 April to 2 May), which is available at US$1500 for a member discount or US$1650 for the Summit plus Partner Day and function on Monday 30 April.
