The Swinburne Engineering Practice Academy is a hybrid of consultancy and university. The Engineering Practice Academy prepares Swinburne Engineering Practice (Honours) students for professional success by engaging them in projects alongside industry and community partners. 

We deliver engineering education differently—students undertake a four-year degree where all their learning is done on industry and community projects blended with online credentials. The Academy is structured as a workplace where our students are Associates of the Academy and they are held to professional standards. Challenging them to develop both technical, professional, and personal capabilities.

The Academy focuses on meaningful two-way engagement with our industry and community partners. Giving value back beyond project outcomes such as: networking opportunities, line of sight on new talent, and insights from our research.
