Stuart Irvine

Chief Executive Officer, Lion

Stuart Irvine has been Chief Executive Officer of Lion since January 2013.  Lion is one of Australasia’s largest food and beverage companies with a portfolio incorporating many of the region’s most iconic dairy, juice and alcohol brands including XXXX Gold, Iron Jack, Tooheys, Little Creatures, James Boag’s, Kirin, PURA Milk, Yoplait and Dairy Farmers.

Lion employs nearly 7000 people and its extensive manufacturing footprint spans 34 sites across Australia, New Zealand, US and Asia including breweries, wineries, dairy farms, milk, cheese, yoghurt and juice sites as well as hospitality venues and 40 Liquor King retail outlets in New Zealand.  Lion has also grown its beer and dairy business internationally with leading yoghurt brands in Singapore and Hong Kong, and the opening of a Little Creatures Brewery in Hong Kong.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Stuart holds a Master of Arts (Honours) Geography from Edinburgh University. He began his career with Procter and Gamble in Scotland, before working in a number of senior positions in fast moving consumer goods companies across Europe including Regional Managing Director Purina U.K, Ireland and Netherlands and CEO of Nestle Poland and Baltics. Immediately prior to joining Lion, he was CEO of Nestle Russia and Eurasia a $2 billion company with 14 production sites and 10,000 people.

Stuart is also chairs the Business Council of Australia Governance and Citizenship Committee.
