Professor Allan Fels AO is former Chairman of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

He is former Chairman of the National Mental Health Commission.  He is now a Commissioner on the Victorian Royal Commission into Mental Health.

He is a Board Member of Mind Australia and chairs the Haven Foundation which provides accommodation, care and support for persons with persistent mental illness.  He is Patron of Mental Health Victoria.

Professor Fels has a daughter with schizophrenia and is a carer.

Professor Fels currently occupies positions as an honorary Professor at the University of Melbourne, Monash University and Oxford University.
