Mark Kramer to deliver keynote presentation at the 2014 AICD Conference

May 21, 2014

Mr Mark Kramer, co-author of ‘Creating Shared Value’, to visit Australia and deliver keynote presentation to some of Australia’s leader directors.

Mr Mark Kramer, co-founder and Managing Director of FSG and co-author of ‘Creating Shared Value’, will join some of Australia’s leading directors on his trip to Australia later this month in partnership with the Shared Value Project. Mr Kramer will give a keynote presentation at the AICD Company Directors Conference, Directorship:14 taking place Wednesday 21st May to Friday 23rd May, providing an opportunity for Australian Directors to hear from Mr Kramer amongst leaders of corporate Australia and the rest of the world, examining futuristic issues and trends.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Igniting the Growth Agenda’. Attendees will gain cutting edge insights into global issues, the economy, business, and directorship with visionary topics critical for the role of being a director. Therefore it is only appropriate that Mr Kramer will be delivering a key note presentation titled, ‘From Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to Creating Shared Value (CSV) – bringing business and society back together’, taking place on Friday 23rd May. This will give directors the chance to hear directly from one of the global leaders of shared value, and learn first hand how this relates to the regional landscape. Particularly as shared value continues to make traction locally with the launch of the Shared Value Project membership program, and globally with the demand for shared value practices worldwide becoming a part of broader industry and societal agendas in sectors such as education.

The Shared Value Project will join Mr Kramer on Hamilton Island. Chair, Peter Yates AM, and Executive Director, Helen Steel, will accompany Mr Kramer to network with attendees and highlight the growth of shared value in Australia and the new programs that the Shared Value Project is developing for 2014 and beyond. Mr Yates will also be a part of a panel discussion on Thursday 22nd May entitled, ‘What you want to know but have been afraid to ask’.

The conference will also be a terrific opportunity for the Shared Value Project to share and expand on some of the new knowledge and opportunities that arose from the Shared Value Leadership Summit in New York, and to initiate opportunities on how this can be developed with some of Australia’s leading businesses in the future
