Event Details
Symbiosis is an immersive experience inviting participants to learn from and work collaboratively with nature to design the future. This unique experience builds on concepts like bio-consciousness, bio-inspiration, and bio-collaboration, empowering attendees to collaborate with nature in their work and decision-making processes.
Drawing on Arup’s award-winning mycelium research as a case study, participants will explore the vast opportunities of using biomaterial in the built environment. Participants will also be invited to (truly) listen to nature. Symbiosis offers a glimpse into Arup’s deep research, innovation, and foresight culture and capabilities, as well as an opportunity to connect other value-driven organisations.
Set in the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne, where the mycelium floating wetland pilot project has been going for four months, this will be an immersive learning experience. Suitable for those with (or seeking) knowledge on water management and treatment through to people looking to understand how we can learn from nature by doing.
Places will be limited, so please secure a spot early.
