2017 Shared Value Awards
The Shared Value Awards were presented on Tuesday 24 October with media partner AFR BOSS at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney. The Shared Value Awards recognise leading examples of shared value success stories from the region, and provide a platform to promote shared value in action and inspiration for other organisations in Australasia and further afield to adopt a shared value approach.

At the 2017 Shared Value Leadership Summit in New York on May, Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop MP shared a message on her leadership and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s commitment to shared value. The Minister recognises the importance of engaging the private sector in helping DFAT to meet overseas development challenges, and how the department have made a commitment to shared value as a framework to support this work. The Minister highlights that Australian aid now supports commercially sustainable solutions to development challenges wherever possible, and that profitability and positively can and should go hand in hand.
