Process and fees

What’s the process?

#1: Applications – closing 10 August

All applications must be submitted via the online forms. For entries in more than one category, applicants must complete and submit separate applications. Applications must be based on the awards criteria. Each company or individual may enter more than one category, however, each nomination attracts an administration fee. This fee exists to cover administration costs and to ensure a high quality of applications. There is a discount for multiple entries.

#2: Judging

Applications will be assessed by a Selection Committee of leaders in the shared value space. Selection Committee members will be required to declare a conflict of interest, if necessary.

The Selection Committee will choose a winner in each category to showcase examples of best practice, and provide inspiration for other companies in the Asia Pacific region and further afield to adopt shared value strategies.

Where there is no outstanding entry, the selection panel reserves the right not to award a winner in a particular category.

#3: Announcement of Shared Value Awards

Shortlisted entries will be advised by the middle of September. The Shared Value Awards will be announced at an event in Melbourne in October 2018.

Why should I enter the Shared Value Awards?

If your organisation is making shared value a priority, the awards are an opportunity to reflect on your work and have it recognised in front of a growing regional community of practice in the Asia Pacific business sector.

With the growth of the shared value community in the Asia Pacific region, and the pace of change in the movement globally, it is important to celebrate regional success stories.

The Shared Value Awards recognise new or existing efforts to address complex social challenges impacting society.

The awards will highlight ground-breaking shared value projects and initiatives including:

  • Reconceiving products & markets
  • Redefining productivity in the value chain
  • Enabling local cluster development.

They will also recognise the adoption of shared value as a broader business strategy.

The Shared Value Awards are presented annually to provide recognition for projects that meet the award criteria.
