Melissa oversees the communications processes and strategies at Shared Value Project. In this role, she is responsible for the implementation of communication activities to strengthen the brand and build a regional community of shared value practice.
Melissa has extensive experience working in communications, media, stakeholder engagement, risk and reputation management from a diverse range of private and inter-governmental agencies in Singapore and Australia.
During her time at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Secretariat, Melissa managed the organisation’s publishing, branding, intellectual property, sponsorship, reputation and capacity building.
She was instrumental in creating and driving APEC’s communications strategy that was applied globally across 21 member economies. Melissa produced a framework to identify current issues that could impact APEC’s image and reputation, internal operations, best practices and business continuity through the communications approach.
Melissa was also most recently involved in a brand refresh for the Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency and was responsible for the agency’s communications and quality assurance.
In her prior role as editor, Melissa led the team at a travel trade and events magazine where she managed content, design, print and digital marketing in the Asia-Pacific region.
